Japanese Acupuncture Rotterdam
As most visitors naturally will be Dutch speaking, the website is in Dutch. Of course you are more than welcome if Dutch is not your native tongue. The Acupuncture Practice
The Ba Zhang Center is my practice for Acupuncture in Rotterdam. I practice Toyohari, a Japanese style of acupuncture which is a form of Keiraku Chiryo or Meridian Therapy. Toyohari, founded by Kodo Fukushima, was originally practiced by mainly blind acupuncturists. Sensitivity and palpation therefore play a major role in this style. In theory and practice it stays close to the classics of Chinese Medicine like for example the Nan-Ching (Classic of Difficult Issues).
To undergo treatment is very comfortable for patients as needling is superficial and the needles are very thin. The range of health complaints that can be treated with Toyohari is the same as with Chinese acupuncture. In some cases though I use so called TCM protocols (modern Chinese Acupuncture). For example to support IVF treatments.
Acupuncture is the main therapy. But occasionally I use Chinese Herbs or Tuina massage therapy as (supportive) treatment.
Shonishin
Shonishin is a specialized form of pediatric acupuncture. This non-invasive and painless form of therapy is well suited for even the youngest babies. A variety of problems can be treated; from respiratory problems and skin disorders to digestive disorders. Also sleeping very bad, moodiness or hyperactivity can respond well to Shonishin treatments.
Chinese herbal therapy:
Prescriptions by the Ba Zhang Center will be processed and delivered by de Natuurapotheek. This is an officially recognized pharmacy, specialized in natural medicine. This way you are guaranteed of good quality and controlled herbs and don’t have to worry about illegal herbs.
TuiNa massage therapy
TuiNa consists of several manual manipulations and acupressure. It is certainly not just a relaxing or spa massage although you can feel revived after TuiNa treatment. It is not just for orthopedic complaints but also for internal problems. It is also used for the treatment of young children as they tend to be afraid of acupuncture needles.

Cancellations
When you cancel 24 hours before the appointment by phone, no costs will be charged. Otherwise the full consultation fee will be charged for the reserved time.
